Escondido Creek Conservancy Logo

"The Escondido Creek Conservancy ( TECC ) is a non-profit, public benefit, corporation dedicated to the preservation and protection of the natural open space within the Escondido Creek watershed. We support educational programs and compatible outdoor recreation within the watershed for the benefit of all residents of the area."    For more info see www.escondidocreek.org

The area of focus begins at San Elijo lagoon between Cardiff-by-the-Sea and Solana Beach.  The creek follows Manchester through Olivenhain and Rancho Sante Fe, across Cielo and down to Elfin Forest.  The creek meanders down one the the prettiest streches of highway in San Diego County, Harmony Grove Road.  The creek travels through the urban center of Escondido to its source at Lake Wohlford and Hellhole Canyon County Open Space Preserve.  Free Topo maps at Trails.com.  See also the Encinitas Trail System site.
